Here is some important information that you should know about the exam. Make sure that you read through this section the night before you take the exam.

  1. To connect a Salesforce org and ingest objects and fields, you need a Data Cloud Admin permission set OR Data Cloud for Marketing Admin permission set and View All and Read permission on the object being ingested.
  2. There are no hard limits on the number of CRM org you can connect to Data Cloud. However, it will affect Data Cloud billing.
  3. Data Cloud and Loyalty management must be installed within the same org for Activation to support loyalty management.
  4. Data Cloud supports the Parquet file format for Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and Microsoft Azure Storage data stream ingestion.
  5. The total number of streaming data transforms is 25 per org.
  6. The Full Refresh extract method can only be used on data of 50 million records or smaller. For larger data groups, use either Delta Extract by Date or by Number.
  7. Provide the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set access to the required objects and fields that are to be ingested in the org from which the CRM data is being ingested.
  8. With Data Cloud, the system can only unify profiles if they are mapped correctly to the individual object and one other element: a contact point object or a party identifier object.
  9. Within a Data Kit, we can bundle data steam, data models, and calculated insights.
  10. Reconciliation rules operate across Individual, Party Identification, and Contact Point Email data model objects.
  11. Deleting a ruleset permanently removes all unified customer data, eliminates dependencies on data model objects, stops all processing of the ruleset, and deletes the history of previous runs. In some cases, it’s better to update the match or reconciliation rules instead of deleting the ruleset.
  12. While mapping source data to the data model object, remember that fields related to address, phone number, email, or other contact points should not be mapped to the Individual object. We should map it to other objects, namely Contact Point Address, Contact Point Phone, and Contact Point Email.
  13. While mapping a data model object (DMO) in the Profile or Other category, it is mandatory to map the primary key field. You can save the data mapping only after doing the same.
  14. While mapping a DMO in the Engagement category, it is mandatory to map the primary key field and the Event dateTime field. You can save the data mapping only after doing the same.
  15. To implement identity resolution, segmentation, and activation, it’s essential to establish the necessary mappings for the party area data. You can use the Entity Relationships Diagram (ERD) for the Party area to plan the mapping. You must also map the Individual object and either a Contact Point or the Party Identification object must be mapped in data streams.
