To ace the exam on the first go, follow the exam tips provided here:
- Read this book thoroughly, especially the chapters on Data Cloud, that is, Chapter 3, Going beyond CDP: Salesforce Data Cloud; Chapter 4, Salesforce Data Cloud Architecture; and Chapter 6, Implementing Salesforce Customer Data Cloud. Make sure you understand the basic concepts.
- Complete the curriculum in a sequential manner without skipping any of the topics or hands-on exercises.
- If you get a chance to work on a Data Cloud implementation project, then you are in luck. Else if you get a chance to build a proof of concept, volunteer for the same. If none of these options works out, then self-practice on the trial org.
- Practice enough sample questions to test your knowledge. While practicing questions or building or working on implementation, if you come across new information, make note of it.
- Read the Data Cloud documentation to clarify your doubts.
- Before the examination, read your notes and this book to revise the concepts.
- Go through the glossary section of the documentation to make sure you know all the terms.
- In the exam, instead of trying to select the correct answer, try to eliminate the wrong options first. In a typical question, there will be 4 options. Your chance of selecting the correct one is 25%. By reading the options, you will be able to eliminate one or two options that cannot be correct. These options will typically have incorrect information. If your concepts are clear, then you can eliminate these options. If you eliminate two options, your chance of selecting the correct option jumps to 50%.
- Use the elimination technique, especially for those questions where you are not sure of the answer.
- During the exam, in the first run, answer questions that you are 100% confident about. If you are not confident of a question’s answer, mark it for review and move on. Go through the entire paper once in this manner. In the second run, answer questions from the reviewed questions. You may be able to answer some now by the process of elimination. For those questions, you can’t, keep it in review and move on. Continue this process till all questions are answered.
